Holy Baby Boom Batman....

So, as most of you know I keep in pretty good touch with my college buddies. While some live far away and some live nearby, I do get around to visiting with most of them at least once or twice a year, at baby showers, weddings, and other random get togethers. So in a recent flurry of emails, I've learned that of the 12 of us...SIX of us are expecting in 2009 (well one is expecting December 31, 2008). Amazing! Obviously in between the moments we get to catch up with each other, we are keeping quite busy....

There goes my "Mom of Year" nod...

Gah! Today, I am a horrible mom. Distracted and suffering from the symptoms of early pregnancy, my three little ones are left to their own devices INSIDE the house today. Normally, I'm a super busy, active mommy with tons of things to distract her kids with; but today, my body is refusing to leave my chair. Though this is my fourth baby, I don't remember being consumed by an utter lack of motivation. As I type, Joey and Rowan are rolling cars down the stairs while watching SpongeBob Squarepants. Keegan has turned his room into a bunker and is playing video games in the dark. This isn't exactly how three very active kids should be spending their day. Not to mention, there are loads of laundry to be folded, the house is a wreck, and there are dirty dishes in the sink! I....must....get....motivated.....(or not).
